Stepping into the the working environment is something that is awaited by all university graduates. 

For me, a student who just finished the audiology course is the most fortunate graduate. 

Why? Before they received their degree, most of them will be called for a job by the hearing aid company or private hospital. Wonderful right?

Meaning that audiology graduates is the most graduates that have high demand in Malaysia market. For your information, the number of audiologists still not sufficient especially in Malaysia due to the large number of patients who suffer from the hearing loss that keep increasing every year.

a) Audiologist in government hospitals
b) Audiologist in private hospitals such as Prince Court Hospital, Gleneagles Hospital and many more.
c) Audiologist at special education sector

f) Private Practitioners (Freelance)

I hope that with this blog, I can help my students, particularly audiological students of National University of Malaysia (UKM), or anyone who would like to take this audiology course as the beginning before stepping into the working world.

But before that, do you notice about the existence of audiology courses or professional who call themselves as an audiologist?

Many of us especially in my own country, Malaysia are still not aware of the existence of this kind of professionals.

Many of us wonder what is the audiology and who is the audiologists and what they actually do?

So as an introduction, let me explain to you all about this 2 terms, audiology and audiologist.

What is AUDIOLOGY?

Audiology is a branch of science that studies hearing, balance and the things that associated with auditory problems.  

Once we understand the meaning of audiology, so actually  we can guess who exactly the audiologists?
 
Who is AUDIOLOGIST?

Audiologist is a practitioner in the field of audiology. They have a degree in Bachelor of Audiology and responsible for identifying, preventing, diagnosing, and managing as well as carrying out the rehabilitation services for patients with hearing loss, balance problems as well as problems related to the auditory.
